How Can Acupuncture Help Dogs?

Acupuncture can help dogs by promoting natural healing, reducing pain and improving overall well-being.

  • Pain relief – Helps manage chronic pain from arthritis, hip dysplasia, and other musculoskeletal conditions by triggering the release of endorphins and reducing inflammation.
  • Improved mobility – Enhances flexibility and movement by reducing stiffness and supporting joint function.
  • Supports recovery – Aids in post-surgical or injury recovery by promoting tissue healing and reducing swelling.
  • Reduces inflammation – Beneficial for conditions such as allergies, skin issues and digestive disorders by regulating the immune system.
  • Stress and anxiety reduction – Can have a calming effect, helping dogs with anxiety, nervousness or behavioral concerns.

If you’d like to ask us about if we can help, you’re welcome to call us!

What to expect when visiting us for the first time

We’ll talk to you about your dog’s needs and watch them move.

We may get your dog to sit or perform some basic tasks before performing a hands-on assessment.

Depending on what we find we’ll develop a plan moving forward.

Treatment will include acupuncture, but it may also be recommended that your dog have other services to compliment the acupuncture such as Osteopathy, laser therapy or a rehabilitation exercise program.

Dog Osteopathy vs Dog Acupuncture

We offer two services for your dog: Osteopathy and Acupuncture for dogs.

Osteopathy takes a more hands-on approach to treatment and is great for dogs that are stiff, sore, or not moving optimally.

Acupuncture is a gentle, non-invasive therapy that can help manage pain, reduce inflammation, and support overall well-being. It is particularly beneficial for dogs with arthritis, mobility issues, or chronic conditions affecting their comfort and movement.

Both osteopathy and acupuncture can work together to form a complete approach to canine care.

Dogs are our world, like they are yours
