How Can Dog Rehabilitation Help?

Rehabilitation forms an important part of your dogs recovery from surgery or injury.

Rehabilitation for dogs aims to improve strength and mobility, as well as giving you strategies and to manage around any problems during your dog’s recovery.

If your dog sufferers from arthritis, Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), Canine Cruciate Ligament (CCL) injuries, hip and elbow dysplasia, muscle strains, fractures, and neurological conditions then dog rehabilitation can help.

If you’d like to ask us about if we can help, you’re welcome to call us!

What to expect when visiting us for the first time

When you arrive we’ll talk to you about your dog’s condition.

We’ll then watch your dog move and get them to perform some basic tasks, before performing a hands-on assessment.

Depending on your dog’s condition and goals we’ll develop a plan moving forward.

The plan may include hands-on treatment, laser therapy, dry needling, therapeutic exercise, and a home program.

Dog Rehabilitation vs Dog Osteopathy

We offer two services for your dog: Osteopathy and Rehabilitation.

Osteopathy takes a more hands-on approach to treatment and is great for dogs that are stiff, sore or not moving optimally.

Rehabilitation helps injured dogs return to normal function and usually involves a more active approach with exercises forming a large part of the plan.

Both osteopathy and rehabilitation can work together to form a complete approach to canine care.
