Meet our Osteopath - Rachel Mahoney

Rachel Mahoney is an osteopath for both people and dogs. With 20 years of experience under her belt in osteopathy, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation, Rachel has a unique skill set for managing mobility, performance, and rehab cases in dogs.
Over the years Rachel’s interest has focussed on posture and mobility issues, not just for show and sporting dogs, but for puppies, seniors, and dogs with injuries and disabilities.
Qualifications
- Masters of Osteopathy – UNITEC – 2004
- Diploma in Animal Osteopathy – 2017
- CCRP (Canine Rehabilitation Certificate) – University of Tennessee – 2020
- CPCFT (Canine Fitness Certificate) – Fenzi Dogs Sports Association – 2020
- Certificate in Small Animal Dry Needling
- Post Graduate Health Science (Sports Medicine) – University of Auckland 2009
Rachel has two miniature schnauzers, Patrick and Betty. Patrick had a spinal stroke in 2021 which he has fully rehabbed and recovered from, while Betty is currently learning agility.
